Neighborhood Inspection Notification

Our community is striving to be a beautiful place in which to reside harmoniously with our neighbors.  It is the obligation of the Board of Directors to ensure that each homeowner is adhering to the Bylaws and Neighborhood Policies regarding the appearance of their home within our community. In order to effectively enforce these policies, there will be an inspection of all homes within Arbor Hills the first week of June and continuing throughout the year.  During these inspections, the following items will be monitored for compliance with neighborhood policy.

  • Trash, Recycle and Compost Containers should not be placed curbside earlier than 6pm the day prior to collection and must be removed from the curb and stored indoors within 12 hours after collection has occurred
  • No signs or other advertising devices of any kind (other than “For Sale” signs) shall be displayed without permission from the Association
  • Grass can be no longer than 6” in length and clippings shall be removed from sidewalk and road areas (otherwise the association can have the yard mowed at the homeowner’s expense)
  • Street Tree – healthy and trimmed without obstructing sidewalk or street
  • Street Tree Ring – grass surrounding, mulched or landscaped weed-free (this includes area surrounding mailbox stand if in your yard)
  • Landscaping – properly trimmed, weed-free, not overgrown or dead
  • Retaining walls, bricks or rocks must be neat and in order – not collapsed
  • Home exterior elements should be properly painted and maintained
  • Yard free from debris (toys, equipment and other objects)
  • Sidewalk requiring repair (elevation, settlement or displacement issues)
  • MAILBOXES WILL NOW BE MAINTAINED AND REPLACED BY THE ASSOCIATION PER BOARD APPROVAL ON MAY 18, 2011

Thank you for keeping Arbor Hills an attractive community. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Board at 734-926-8857 or via Email the Board.
